I've always loved burgers, especially the ones that were hot off the grill. So when we discovered BIG BETTER BURGERS, I felt that it wasn't going to be just any ordinary burger joint.

Pepper Lunch 101: Cook your beef slices immediately!

I fell in love with Pepper Lunch ever since the beau brought me to their Shangri-La Plaza Mall branch a few years ago. I first ordered the Beef Pepper Rice, and have been hooked to it since then. So whenever I dine here (whichever branch I may be), I always order the same thing.

I also found an opportunity to eat some late lunch from their Megamall branch right after visiting my friends Bridal Fair booths. So we ordered each a Beef Pepper Rice and had this combined with the Bonus Meal promo for an additional Php 60 (1 drink + 1 side dish of choice).

Rubel ordered an iced tea drink and a bowl of "Kuromitsu" or Caramel-flavored ice cream. I, on the other hand, ordered a glass of Coke Zero and a bowl of seasonal soup, which was then Corn & Crab soup.

Celebrating 52 years with Goldilocks and Dolora's

Our Ate Luz recently celebrated her 52nd birthday. She's been with us for almost 2 decades now, and we are so grateful that she's still taking good care of us. We just wanted to surprise her for her birthday this May, so we made sure to buy the best tasting Pancit Malabon from Dolora's. And of course, a big Mocha Chiffon cake from Goldilocks, which I absolutely love.

The Pancit Malabon from Dolora's has been the best Pancit Malabon that I've tasted so far. Other than my Amber's favorite, Dolora's would have to be the first one on my list now. A bilao that was worth P550 was already good for 15 people. It had generous amounts of shrimp pieces (which I avoided from eating), big chicharon bits, hard-boiled eggs slices and more. And the best part of Dolora's creation was you no longer have to put any calamansi to your Pancit. The calamansi zest was already mixed into this sumptuous Filipino viand. It was truly love at first bite!

A not-so-good Tater's Review

My Kuya left his extra Tater's vouchers to me, so I decided to take my brother and my beau to some Tater's Trinoma food trip. I had about Php 700 worth of gift certificates, so the three of us were able to order a lot for each one of us.
