Celebrating 52 years with Goldilocks and Dolora's

Our Ate Luz recently celebrated her 52nd birthday. She's been with us for almost 2 decades now, and we are so grateful that she's still taking good care of us. We just wanted to surprise her for her birthday this May, so we made sure to buy the best tasting Pancit Malabon from Dolora's. And of course, a big Mocha Chiffon cake from Goldilocks, which I absolutely love.

The Pancit Malabon from Dolora's has been the best Pancit Malabon that I've tasted so far. Other than my Amber's favorite, Dolora's would have to be the first one on my list now. A bilao that was worth P550 was already good for 15 people. It had generous amounts of shrimp pieces (which I avoided from eating), big chicharon bits, hard-boiled eggs slices and more. And the best part of Dolora's creation was you no longer have to put any calamansi to your Pancit. The calamansi zest was already mixed into this sumptuous Filipino viand. It was truly love at first bite!

A not-so-good Tater's Review

My Kuya left his extra Tater's vouchers to me, so I decided to take my brother and my beau to some Tater's Trinoma food trip. I had about Php 700 worth of gift certificates, so the three of us were able to order a lot for each one of us.

Large Softdrinks. :)

Bland Viands at The Old Spaghetti House

I've always been a salty eater. I guess that's me having that distinct Filipino trait for wanting tasty dips and sauces for every meal that I eat. I like Patis (fish sauce) for my Sinigang, Suka (vinegar) for my Longganisa or Tocino, and even Banana Catsup for my Meat balls. So when I recently dined at The Old Spaghetti House, SM The Block (TOSH for short), I noticed a certain blandness to our orders.

Ice Cream House sa Scout Tobias

My family still wanted to eat some dessert moments after our lunch at Luk Yuen. They initially wanted Halo-Halo, so we set out to find the best one in the Santolan-Ortigas area -- only to find ourselves back in Quezon City. We were supposed to give up on our search for the best yet affordable Halo-Halo, until we saw ---> Ice Cream House sa Scout Tobias.

Liempo + Ensalada = Food Heaven!

Just wanted to share what we had for lunch a few days ago -- Liempo with Ensalada!!!

We recently came from a quick pool getaway, and we had these great-tasting dishes from our trip.

Care for some grilled liempo?? :)
